    On the DIY thing….If it’s something you want to do and want to learn about, why not go for it? It can be as simple as staining molding, caulking or stripping paint, but I think it’s important to learn about the workings of your house so you can at least maintain it and not have to call in a “handyperson” every time something goes wrong. If I didn’t learn to DIY on my first house, it wouldn’t have lead me to real estate and old home restorations.
