Brooklyn’s quirkiest museum just got sweeter — Williamsburg’s City Reliquary Civic Organization and Community Museum is hosting its annual Havemeyer Sugar Sweets Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 4.
The Brooklyn bake sale will feature a “sweet-tooth smorgasbord” of goodies donated from home chefs, professionals and landmark bakeries throughout New York. All proceeds from the event will go to supporting City Reliquary and its space at 370 Metropolitan Avenue.
The daylong event will feature a Blue Ribbon Baking Competition to crown NYC’s best home baker with a blue ribbon and baking-related gift. Judges for the competition include bakers from some of the city’s favorite sweets purveyors, including Baked, Dough, Brooklyn Kitchn, Good Batch and Ovenly.
There will also be family-friendly activities like face painting and, for the adults, DJ SWEETUMS.
