Haunted Brooklyn Heights

Come discover a different type of wealth in Brooklyn Heights — a wealth of spooky stories.

The boutique walking tours company Boroughs of the Dead is offering haunted tours of Brooklyn Heights’ most dreadful sites.

Led by owner and founder Andrea Janes, the tours are held on various dates throughout the fall and into December, beginning October 16. Starting half a block south of the Court Street Trader Joe’s, the 1.3 mile, nearly-two-hour stroll through Brooklyn Heights includes a stop at science fiction writer H.P. Lovecraft’s home and something called the “Gate to Hell.”

Tickets are $20 in advance and available for purchase online.

Boroughs of the Dead also offers tours of Green-Wood Cemetery and its most scandalous inhabitants.
