437-union-avenue-062413Yet another new hotel is rising in Williamsburg, this one at 437 Union Avenue where the Getty gas station used to be. (Just around the corner on Metropolitan  another big hotel recently broke ground.) . This one may be called the Union Hotel Park (that’s the name of the LLC that owns the site). It’s going to be five stories high with 52 units, according to Department of Building filings. Interestingly, the current owner picked up the site in in 2010 for only $253,000. Incredible!

  1. All sites can be cleaned up, including the Gowanas. The biggest obstacle to any type of development progress are these “new to Brooklyn” activist types. They’re always belly aching about affordable housing, unsafe conditions etc…until they become homeowners. Then these same types never rent to Black people unless of course one half of the couple is non Black. Kiss my grits
