Brooklyn’s Priciest Condo Now its Priciest Rental

by

A couple months ago Dumbo’s ultimate trophy property, the Clock Tower penthouse at One Main Street in Dumbo, came back on the market with a slightly lower asking price: $23.5 million, down from the $25 million it was listed for in ’09. And while it’s still for sale, it’s now also being offered as a rental for a mere $50,000 a month. That makes the 7,000-square-foot triplex far and away the most expensive property for rent in Brooklyn. (According to StreetEasy, second-place honors go to 11 Cranberry, which can be had for $22,000 a month.) Of course, if the property ends up selling anywhere near its asking price, it’s sure to be the biggest residential sale in Brooklyn history.
