House of the Day: 122 Carroll Street
Is it 2007 or something? This house at 122 Carroll Street in Carroll Gardens just hit the market with the absurd asking price of $3,500,000. Clearly part of the reason for the big ask is that the owner recently spent some dough on a renovation either the pictures aren’t very good or the renovation itself doesn’t have much of a wow factor. Could this place even fetch $2 million? Nutso.

OMG, just realized this is between Henry and Hicks. That is such a terrible location. I lived there. Never again. Miles from the subway, freeway is so loud it interferes with opening the windows, and the exhaust particles in the air will blacken your sills every week and send you to an early grave.
I thought it was Nutseekers.
Jersey Brickface and Stucco for the faux-stone look.. not too many of them left in CG.
I park in the garage across the street — I think the current owner ADDED the multi-color brick around the door and the ground-level fake stone wall within the past year or so.
Dude — agreed.
And according to NYC Citymap this is 20′ wide, not 22′ wide.
Nestseekers should change their name to Suckerseekers.
GowanusGirl: Although I don’t think it’s your intent, seems to me you are justifying the asking price
You bunch of frownstoners! There’s a working fireplace behind the drywall! Clearly no expense was spared.
