We’re happy to give a shout-out to the latest addition to our cadre of renovation bloggers. You can follow the travails of M&T, who bought their Bed Stuy brownstone with the proceeds of the sale of their Park Slope co-op, on the South Stuy Reno Blog. (You can also follow all the renovation blogs in a single stream here.) As the first post describes, the most pressing issue right now is getting at least one of the three rental apartments ready for October 1. Money’s tight and the rental cash flow is now critical. If you do nothing else today, make sure you check out the paint color of the moldings and doors that our fearless reno bloggers inherited from the previous owners. Priceless! If you’d like to write your own renovation blog, send us an email at brownstoner@brownstoner.com.

  1. Uhmmm, this is a brownstone blog, started by someone who was restoring his brownstone, who wanted to share with like minds. What better place to host the blogs of people doing the same thing. Duh.

Perhaps Curbed or some other site would be better for ya. I say the more, the merrier. It’s what drew me to the site in the first place.

Welcome M&T! Looking forward to more.

  2. “I just don’t want to read about every renovation experience in every old townhouse.”

You’re saying one thing and doing another. If you were’nt reading about EVERY experience, you wouldn’t be so frustrated. Alright, feeding time is over.
