The keys to real estate success are industry knowledge and meeting the right people. That’s why Brooklyn’s prominent and up-and-coming real estate luminaries will be attending the Brooklyn Real Estate Conference, Thursday, April 7, at Weylin B. Seymour’s.

Offering the opportunity to hear from and network with the industry’s most prominent leaders, the conference will kick off with an hour of networking, allowing attendees to meet one another and swap business cards.

The Real Estate Board of New York will also be releasing their Brooklyn retail report at the conference. Those in attendance will have access to the report and key data on the Brooklyn market.

The event will feature opening remarks from Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and a keynote by Maria Torres-Springer, president and CEO of the New York City Economic Development Corporation. This will be followed by two panel discussions, comprised of a dozen experts in the Brooklyn market focused on both commercial and residential real estate.

At the conference, attendees will have the chance to learn from the best via informative panels, starting with “Attracting Office and Commercial Tenants to Brooklyn,” and ending with “Planning for Residential Tenants of Tomorrow.”

Panel speakers will include Ron Hartmann (SVP, Commercial Real Estate Department, Flushing Bank), Jeff Levine (Chairman, Douglaston Development), Lisa Gomez (COO/Partner, L&M Development), Melissa Gliatta (COO, Thor Equities),  Andrew Barrocas (CEO, MNS), Tim King (Managing Partner, CPEX Real Estate), Jed Walentas (Principal, Two Trees), David Ehrenberg (President/CEO, Brooklyn Navy Yard), Toby Moskovits (CEO, Heritage Equity Partners), Kathe Kramer Chase (Industry City), and Alireza Esmaeilzadeh (SVP Commercial and Residential Development, Forest City Ratner Companies).

The event is presented by The Home Reporter, The Brooklyn Spectator and Star Network in association with the Real Estate Board of New York.

“The Brooklyn real estate market has tremendous opportunity and projects underway are changing the landscape of many neighborhoods,” said Schneps Communications Co-Publisher Joshua Schneps. “This event will bring together experts in the industry to share insight and network with others working or interested in the Brooklyn real estate industry.”

“This exciting event offers a unique opportunity for real estate professionals and the public to better understand the latest trends and investment information affecting Brooklyn from industry leaders and influential thinkers,” said Jamie McShane, senior vice president of communications at REBNY. “Brooklyn is booming and the Real Estate Board of New York members are very involved with a growing number of exciting projects throughout Kings County.”
