If you’re feeling patriotic these days, not to say nationalistic, witness this Windsor Terrace floor-through fitted out with a gleaming stainless-steel kitchen, chandeliers, and a new bathroom. The view from what we think is legally the bedroom at 218 Windsor Place looks over one of those old-school Brooklyn blocks where the neighbors hang American flags on every porch stoop — even in November 2017, Google Maps reveals.

Across the street, the norm seems to be a mix of Art Deco and Arts & Crafts styling and first-floor sunrooms, but on the even-numbered side, the streetscape reveals Renaissance Revival barreled, tan brick facades. Be sure to take a close look at the floor plan before making the trip to the otherwise scenic neighborhood wedged between Prospect Park and Green-Wood Cemetery, for the layout is a bit confusing.

Originally conceived as six rooms with parlor in front and dining room and kitchen in rear, the top-floor pad (part of a two-story two-family) has been converted from a three-bedroom to a slightly awkward yet luxurious one-bedroom.

Two rooms make up a sprawling bedroom suite (complete with closet) in the front of the unit. To the side is a small bedroom that could work as a nursery, home office or dressing room/closet. (There’s also a walk-in closet in the hall.)

In the rear, the two back rooms have been opened up to create an open-plan kitchen-dining room. An adjacent interior windowless room (formerly a bedroom) is probably meant to be a living room, though of course you could use it however you like.

That said, the preserved parquet floors, moldings, and decorative tiled bathroom have some flair, and we foresee lots of industrious patterns of habitation by space-starved couples or college students. While the listing by Corcoran’s Laura Hess for $2,500 says one-bedroom in the text, the sidebar says 1.5. Can you make it work?
