Sara Klar Ltd.

Sara Klar founded her design firm in 1986 in Soho New York specializing in the creation of fine high end residential interiors. From the start, her designs subtly interplayed Eastern precepts of aesthetics such as asymmetry, "borrowed view", complex simplicity - with European and American, traditional and contemporary furnishings and textiles.

In 2002 Klar recognized the need for professional design guidance for the broader market. She expanded her services to provide interior design coaching sessions, often helping clients change their home environments to accommodate shifts occurring in their personal lives. She found that talking through the complexities that were driving the need for change helped the design process be more effective.

Sara Klar is a fine artist. She believes that color, whether for the home or on her canvases, has the ability to be transformative. In her interiors, she utilizes color to wrap space, unify, envelop, warm, harmonize, excite, or calm the senses achieving her results by custom mixing paint colors to her exacting Some of her residential design projects may be seen here in her Portfolio.
