The Williamsburgh Savings Bank, the former HSBC (and before that Republic National Bank) branch at 151-175 Broadway, hit the market in August with no asking price and has already found a buyer. Curbed found that the buyer, who handed over $4.5 million for the 28,500-square-foot domed building, owns the New York Loft Hostel in East Williamsburg, not exactly a high-end affair. A hotel conversion seems likely, but for now nothing has been confirmed.
