Closings should start this month. The developers also renovated the Shaker House Condo, another once-dilapidated building on the block. (The Sebastian had been vacant for three decades before going condo.) You can check out the building’s website for details, pictures and floorplans. According to StreetEasy, the remaining unit is listed for $430,000. GMAP
Pretty ballsy of these guys jumping into the Bed Stuy condo market 2 years ago when most folks in the industry were heading for the hills. What is key for them is their excellent reputation on all of the projects they do. They are also known for taking chances in emerging areas and being ahead of the pack. They recently did a truly amazing reno of an old school building in Ridgewood, pretty much putting the whole nabe on the hipster map single handedly. I believe they developed the faculty house condo project as well which was on a pretty nasty corner of Atlantic avenue some years ago. I was in that project and was astounded at the creativity that went into the place. The vast majority of developers only see this business as a way to make money and you can generally tell by the shitty product they put out. This group stands out no matter how large or small their projects are.
I walk pass the building all the time… They really did a great job on this place…
Decent sizes and nice finishes. It’s going to make a lovely home.
