Among our most popular listings this week were several notable properties. A contemporary new-construction townhouse in Wallabout got lots of looks, presumably for its many unusual features, including a snow-melting system and a smart toilet/bidet.

Also favored was a classic Prospect Lefferts Gardens brownstone with outstanding woodwork and lots of other historic goodies. One of the oldest houses in Brooklyn Heights, a wood-framed Federal at 24 Middagh Street, also captured attention.

The majority of listings were for whole houses, but a few condos and co-ops snuck into the mix. There was also a great deal of variation in price, from $849,000 to $7 million.

Which would you choose?

10. This house at 140 Clinton Avenue in Wallabout sits next to a recent House of the Day — a temple-fronted Greek Revival — and the pair must offer a greater study in contrasts than any two side-by-side houses in Brooklyn. The Greek Revival dates back to 1835 and sports a quartet of Corinthian columns — this one is sleek, modern and brand new.

9. The woodwork in this Prospect Lefferts Gardens brownstone at 207 Lincoln Road is some of the nicest we’ve ever clapped eyes on, and there is no shortage of other ornate detail.

8. Brooklyn houses don’t get any more venerable than this wood-framed Federal at 24 Middagh Street. Most commonly dated to 1824, it’s often cited as the oldest house in the borough; we can’t confirm that, but it’s certainly one of them, gawked at by many a historical walking tour.

7. On Madison Street in Bed Stuy we’ve got a Neo-Grec brownstone of roughly the same vintage. This one’s been beautifully renovated by a principal at the design and architecture firm KGBL, and combines modern finishes with original details including moldings, wainscoting, pocket doors and a giant pier mirror in the front parlor. Continuing the trend, it’s got a garden rental with a triplex above — this one’s got three bedrooms and incorporates a full-floor master suite.

6. This Windsor Terrace condo has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open floor plan, and windows in every room. But the biggest selling point may be the outdoor space, which nearly matches the whole apartment in square footage, with a private roof deck and two terraces.

5. This two-bedroom co-op apartment is bright, attractive, spacious, and located on a prime Cobble Hill block, for under a million. It’s in an eight-unit building at 225 Baltic Street, between Court and Clinton, within the Cobble Hill Historic District.

It’s got a graceful prewar appearance, with original hardwood floors, moldings, and plaster detailing. The ceilings are high, and there’s a separate dining room, just off the kitchen.

4. We find oursevles in Bushwick, where we find a three-story vinyl-sided house offering a four-bedroom lower duplex with a three-bedroom rental above. There’s a lot that’s not pictured, and what’s shown reveals a lot of rough edges. There’s some tantalizing original detail, including fireplaces and fretwork, but the new owner’s going to have some meaningful work to do.

3. This pick is a two-family in at 32 Rochester Avenue in Crown Heights, redone from the ground up. With open spaces, exposed brick, recessed lighting, modern fixtures, and floor-to-ceiling glass on the top two floors, it’s “perfect for anyone who recognizes lavish living,” according to the listing. There’s an upper duplex with three bedrooms, including a master with a glass-enclosed en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. On the garden level is a two-bedroom rental, which is duplexed with a finished basement. The house has a/c, a security/video intercom system, multi-zoned Sonos speaker system and wireless Nest temperature control.

2. In Prospect Heights, there is a one-family, three-story brownstone at 565A Carlton Avenue. It’s an estate sale, and the listing offers no interior photos and scant info. The house — being sold as is — was being renovated for conversion to a three-family; how far they’ve gotten is not clear. There’s “great potential” here, according to the broker, who requires an RSVP for the open house — and an all-cash deal for the actual sale.

1. Finally, in Fort Greene at 118 Lafayette Avenue, we’ve got an 1860 Italianate brick house of grand proportions that needs work but has the makings of a stunning residence. It’s a corner house with three exposures, 23 feet in width and five stories tall. Original details are legion, including arched front doors, plaster detailing, a pier mirror, moldings, arched pocket doors with etched glass, parquet floors and working fireplaces on all floors, and a brick hearth in the kitchen. It’s set up with duplexes on the top and bottom and a floor-through apartment in between.
