This shingled turn-of-the-last century standalone house at 685 East 18th Street in Flatbush’s Midwood Park has a wraparound porch, garage, and plenty of room. Close to Brooklyn College, it was designed by architect Benjamin Driesler and built in 1907, according to the listing.
Inside, we see a fireplace, stained glass, built-ins, a coffered ceiling in the dining room, and an updated kitchen and baths. There are five bedrooms and 2.5 baths.
Based on the photos, we’re guessing it may need some work. A bedroom has a dropped ceiling, office-style fluorescent lights, and paneling.
It’s for sale by owner and the asking price is $1,795,000. What do you think of it?

I wonder what’s under those drop ceilings. The house looks very nice and will probably get asking price or very close to it. Good for them!
I saw place in need of a gut reno, in need of a new roof, in need of a full exterior place on Farragut and 23rd go for ~990k. Had a 2 car garage and a really nice sized yard.
