This apartment at 51 7th Avenue looks like a decent option for someone who wants to live in a brownstone in prime Park Slope but may not have the scratch for an entire building. The floor-through apartment has been recently renovated and retains many of its original details. (There’s lots of exposed brick too.) The asking price of $725,000 doesn’t sound overly pricey for 1,153 square feet in this location. Thoughts?

  1. Nice lol love being right. I actually know this guy Alex, he really isn’t purposely marketing it this way, just a mistake and he’s a really nice guy Like bklyn best said he did change it immediately so give him the benefit of the doubt. Glad it was dropped though now it makes a little more sense. Still say it’s closer to a 650k apartment.

  2. The building is beautiful, the apartment appears to have been smartly renovated and in excellent condition, so even if it is slightly overpriced at the $699k, this is a prime 7th Ave location. I bet this broker will see some strong activity & offers. Don’t beat the guy up, all brokers make mistakes, I think its cool that a price break and a correction to the website happened so quickly, even if you have to read through the junk to get to the real opinions, he’s doing his job, and not ignoring it like the rest of the snobby know-it-all Park Slope brokers…had to throw that in there…

  3. I think Hakeem Jefferies should create a bill to prevent dumb-ass brokers from increasing the Square-footage of these units just to make people think they are getting a palatial unit. That is far worse than creating hood names like RAMBO, and the SONYA loft district.
