Another week, another look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago, focusing on homes in East Williamsburg, Bed Stuy, Flatbush and Park Slope. How did they fare?

Starting off in East Williamsburg, a 1940 brick single-family row house in a row with deep front gardens facing Cooper Park has received a designer update. The front yard is extensively planted and the porch updated with a modern roof with skylights, built-in benches and polished concrete floor. This former Open House Pick sold in November for $1.905 million, which was $6,000 over ask.

Next, this Neo-Grec brownstone dating from 1885 is recently renovated and configured as an owner’s triplex with a top-floor rental. It retains some original details: in the parlor and elsewhere on the upper floors, the crown moldings are extravagant, with scrolls, dentils, fluting and corner blocks, though they’re all painted white and so tend to disappear into the background. This former House of the Day sold in March for $2.575 million, which was $120,000 under ask.

In Flatbush this apartment, in a building constructed in 1937 and declared “worth investigating” in a Brooklyn Daily Eagle advert of the time, sacrifices light and space in the living room for an extra bedroom. While it is a legal one-bedroom, according to the listing, the second one, billed in the floor plan as a nursery/home office, is plenty spacious at 13 by 9.5 feet and lit on two sides by three windows. This former Co-op of the Day entered contract in March.

Finally, a Neo-Grec brownstone in the Park Slope Historic District has a hot tub in the flagstone-covered backyard, plus energy-efficient windows installed before the extension of the landmark district in 2012. It also has enough other preserved details to make up for any loss of historic character. This former House of the Day sold in January for $2.305 million, which was $145,000 under ask.
