This week, we’re turning the calendar back six months and checking in on how four of our listings fared on the open market.

Still available, this two-family house at 65 Pineapple Street in Brooklyn Heights has got some alluring prewar features — and by that we mean pre-Civil War. This one, a former House of the Day, dates to 1835, a rarity in Brooklyn, and was built in a transitional Federal-Greek Revival style, according to Old Brooklyn Heights: New York’s First Suburb.

Next up is a historic 1870 brick and brownstone four story townhouse in Carroll Gardens, a former Open House Pick. Located on picturesque tree-lined Carroll Street between Clinton and Henry, it encompasses approximately 3,500 square feet of magnificent living space plus finished basement. With original preserved details throughout, this home boasts grand proportions and a gracious layout. It sold in July for $4 million — $200,000 below ask.

Next we have a four-story Queen Anne townhouse in the Bedford Historic District at 332 Jefferson Avenue in Bed Stuy. This former House of the Day has got some nice original details, including moldings, parquet floors, wainscoting, four original mantels and at least one pier mirror. It sold in August for $75,000 below ask, closing at $1.525 million.

Last is a huge two-bedroom loft condo, in the Newswalk building at 535 Dean Street in Prospect Heights. A former Condo of the Day, it has a number of distinctive features, none more notable than its private movie theater. The penthouse unit was taken off the market in July.
