The most popular listings on Brownstoner this week include a mews house in Cobble Hill, a barrel-fronted limestone in Crown Heights and a luxe condo in Brooklyn Heights.

There are several listings in Bed Stuy, but the rest are scattered across the borough. The least expensive is a detail-filled Bed Stuy rental at $4,000 a month and the most expensive is a new Williamsburg townhouse at $7.495 million.

10. Here’s an opportunity to buy a mews house on much-coveted Verandah Place, the quaint, oft-Instagrammed and generally beloved row of 19th century houses that faces Cobble Hill Park. This one is No. 20, a three-story dating to the late 1850s that’s currently set up as a double duplex. It’s hard to get a full picture of this one, with limited photos and no floor plan.

9. Here’s a two-bedroom spread in the Standish, the former apartment hotel at 171 Columbia Heights that’s being turned into ultra-expensive condos sporting East River views. The 12-story Beaux Arts building has an interesting history — Superman once lived here, for one thing. Designed by Frank S. Lowe and built in 1903, it was originally called the Standish Arms, which DC Comics fans will recognize as the name of the building where Clark Kent dwelled in Room 5H.

This newly built townhouse in Williamsburg offers top-end finishes, modern design and an expansive single-family living space, for the kind of big-ticket buyer that would have been a stranger to this nabe not long ago. It’s at 138 North 1st Street, off of Bedford Avenue. It’s got 4,800 square feet spread over five levels, spanned by an iron-railed staircase with a skylight at the top.

6. This cute Flatbush two-bedroom offers a decent amount of space for the price and low monthly maintenance charges, in a prewar building. It’s on the fifth floor of the Clinton Houses, a six-story, 113-unit building close to Brooklyn College. It’s “a legal one-bed, one-bath, defined as a two-bed,” says the listing, which is to say it started life with a single large bedroom that has been chopped into two.

The bright upper duplex has an open plan living floor and three small-ish bedrooms upstairs. There’s exposed brick, new windows throughout, basement laundry, and a wooden deck with steps down to a nice garden.

4. Next up, a six-bedroom Victorian with a wraparound terrace on the cul de sac Waldorf Court in West Midwood. This one needs work, which is made clear both by the listing and the sole photo, which shows an exterior in need of attention. It’s an interesting facade, though, which backs up the listing’s contention that the house offers “some unique architecture that you won’t find anywhere else in the neighborhood.”

3. This barrel-fronted limestone on New York Avenue in Crown Heights has a front garden and a handsome facade. This one’s in rough shape and needs considerable work, even if the price tag doesn’t necessarily indicate it. Original detail is minimal, and may not be salvageable — there seems to be a lot of space though. At the moment it’s a two-family with an apartment on each floor.
