This prewar three-bedroom apartment is in good shape with a newly renovated kitchen, and offers a good deal of space without a staggering price tag. It’s on the second floor of a semi-detached brick house at 86 Sterling Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, on a pretty block with Prospect Park close at hand.
There’s a living and dining room with good light from two exposures and inlaid parquet floors. The acoustic tile ceiling in the dining room is a bit of downer, but nothing that can’t be overlooked.

There’s also an eat-in kitchen with a large dining area with a tiled floor. Â As mentioned, the kitchen is new; it’s no architectural showpiece, but it’ll do the job, and cabinet space is ample.
One of the bedrooms pictured is quite small, though another seems big enough for a queen size bed at least. Perhaps the sunroom in the front of the house is the third bedroom.
There’s no floor plan, so we can’t enlighten you about that or the closet situation. There’s a renovated bath (not pictured) with a walk-in shower but no tub.
Listed by Jeffrey L. Welch of Brown Harris Stevens, the apartment is renting for $2,800. Like it?
