Bikes and Booze for Myrtle Ave. Storefront

Last week a business presented plans to CB2’s Permits Committee for a new bike shop in Fort Greene that will also double as a cafe. The bike shop, which will open in about a month at 345 Myrtle Avenue, will do repairs and sell bikes and accessories. A cafe in front will sell coffee in the morning and wine and beer in the evenings. While the bike portion of the store will close at 9 p.m., the cafe will remain open until 11. The liquor license will be voted on by the full community board this Thursday. A nice addition to the avenue, don’t you think? GMAP
