The MTA was out taking photographs before, during and after Hurricane Sandy. We’ve assembled some of the Queens focused ones here.

As Hurricane Sandy approached, the MTA moved buses out of the Casey Stengel Depot in Willets Point up to higher ground at Citi Field.

Despite prevention efforts, the tunnels filled with water. This photo shows the ‘pump train’ the MTA is using to get the water out of the tunnels. (See NY Daily News for more).

The MTA did get a photographer out on the tracks in the Rockways today, who took photos of damage and a repair crew unloading and installing new switches.
