WNYC reports that the three-screen Nitehawk Cinema is opening today on Metropolitan Avenue near the corner of Berry. The movie theater will be the only multi-screen venue in Williamsburg. Nitehawk is going to serve food, have a full bar, and is “booking indie rock bands to play between movies.” will have indie filmmakers’ shorts playing before movies. The first three flicks being shown in the theater are “Midnight in Paris,” “Submarine,” and “The Trip,” according to Metromix.
