Art-Of-Brooklyn-4-16-15

The 5th Annual Art of Brooklyn Film Festival is decidedly inclusive. The independent festival, which showcases Brooklyn-born, Brooklyn-based, and Brooklyn-centric films and filmakers represents every Brooklyn neighborhood and community.

It’s international, and presented by nonprofit organization The Art of Brooklyn. The event is curated by its director, Jason Cusato, and successful entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, who will reward winners in a number of categories. The organization has also created a streaming service, called Brooklyn on Demand, to showcase Brooklyn filmmaking globally.

The festival will take place in Downtown Brooklyn from May 13 to 17 at Founders Hall Theater in St. Francis College and at other locations across the borough. Click here to buy tickets.

  1. Hate to be a stickler here but the Brooklyn Film Festival is actually starting on May 29, running through June 7. The festival Brownstoner is referring to here is the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival. It’s confusingly similar, to be sure, but Brownstoner should clarify this. Here’s the website and information for the Brooklyn Film Festival: http://www.brooklynfilmfestival.org
