Crown Heights/Prospect Heights Safety Debate

Following on the heels of our discussion earlier this week about public safety in Clinton Hill, we stumbled across a similar debate on the Craigslist Housing forum about a block that’s on the Prospect Heights/Crown Heights border–Classon between St. Marks and Prospect Place. Not surprisingly, there is a variety of opinions. One “relatively athletic” guy does not feel comfortable there while a self-described “unimposing” female resident of four years feels quite safe. A shooting in broad daylight yesterday can’t be making anyone feel better either.
