Head to their Brooklyn Heights headquarters for “Boos in the Borough: A Brooklyn Historical Halloween” with talks by two Halloween-appropriate experts. First, Brooklyn funeral director Amy Cunningham will delve into the history and meaning behind burial garments with a talk called “An Affectionate History of Winding Sheets and Burial Garments.”
She’ll be followed by Boroughs of the Death founder Andrea Janes for “Something Strange in Our Neighborhoods: The Ghosts of Brooklyn” with haunting tales of the ghostly corners of Brooklyn.
Attendance in costume is encouraged, and make it impressive as there will be the awarding of the title of Best Dressed Ghoul in Brooklyn.
The fun takes place on Wednesday, October 31 at BHS at 128 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6 p.m. To register for the free event or for more information, click here.
