Floor contractors?

Hoping to get floors refinished and some inlaid woodwork repaired in a brownstone co-op before moving in. I’m looking for recommendations for floor contractors. TIA!

did you try carlos? i have recommended him around and have spoken to him and others here like him. if there was an issue, maybe drop me a line at brownstonehomeinspection.com. or do you have questions about what you can expect from people who do this work and what the challenges are, reach out. i am a former restoration contractor and have patched more than my share of wood floors and refinished the same (including spot patching the finish only) and might be able to give you some tips.

I do consulting now. i became a home inspector at the urging of a customer but i am becoming more of a consultant thanks to the audience on here.

and verrazano is good. listen, i know a heap of top notch flooring people and they are considered pricey.

our neighbors recently used Verrazano for a repair due to water. It looked amazing — could not even tell that it was repaired. They are a bit pricy though they told me.
