We’d like to remove, clean and replace the stained glass under the roof skylight above the center stairway in our home; we’ve done so already with the stained glass under the skylight in our bathroom and it came out very well.<\/p>\n
The problem is that the framed stained glass piece is relatively large, 5’+ x 3’+, hypothetically weighs 60+ lbs., and there is no flat floor underneath to set-up a ladder. The window lies directly above the split between the staircase and the top floor walkway the runs alongside the staircase.<\/p>\n
We’re wondering if anyone has removed or had one of these removed and knows how to do it. That is, did you set up scaffolding, use a specialty ladder, or manage to remove it another way?
