I am thinking of using ‘polished cement’ as the floor for our basement. I’ve seen it used in public spaces, and it looks gorgeous. Also, I am guessing that it <\/p>\n

(i) is relatively impervious to water – the basement will include a laundry room and perhaps a bathroom;
\n (ii) does not add any thickness to the floor — the ceiling is pretty low as it is;
and
(iii) is relatively cheap and uncomplicated to install. <\/p>
