The job was approved in 2006. The block was rezoned from R7-1 to R3X in 2009. An original permit from 2006 and an extension from 2008 expired before the rezoning. In 2010 they got a new extension approved and are now busy with construction. <\/p>\n<p>Question 1 &#8211; Should the permit renewal have been approved despite the rezoning? After all there was a 2 year lull in construction so this is really a new job.<\/p>\n<p>Question 2 &#8211; The main issue I have with the construction is that the second story porch is being closed off into residential space.
