The current lock is installed into a single plate of iron and the barrel protrudes out of the front of the gate.  In order for the a new lock to be installed securely and  flush with the front of the  gate, an iron box needs to be made and welded into the gate.  Has anyone had this type of work done by a Brooklyn locksmith?
