It&#8217;s been so hard that I hate to paint it again, but it&#8217;s getting cold and I need to do something.<\/p>\n<p>Can I stain it like the houses on Nantucket?  Or Halifax?  Or Sarah Jessica Parker&#8217;s Hamptons house (above, Is that stain?)<\/p>\n<p>I go to my local paint store and they have all sorts of wood siding stain and I think, why not.  But the paint guys says, &#8220;I don&#8217;t know why you couldn&#8217;t, but I wouldn&#8217;t&#8221;.
