The electrical capacity of the apartment building we live in is limited and the cost of running a 220 line  up from the basement in an old landmarked building seems to point to this as being the best solution. One of the contractors we have spoken with made the comment that gas ovens should not be installed under a counter. This is the only person of the many that we have spoken to about the design who has said this, so&#8230;is he right?
