We are in the middle of a renovation and a crack has developed along the length of the arch between the crown molding and the arch (between the two cracks which you can probably see in the picture).   We drilled into the arch a little and it seemed to be mostly plaster. Maybe there is a wood beam in there somewhere?  If you have any experience, please share it.  We would like to secure it in a effective way.
