We have a 11 year old Goodman GMP150-5 gas boiler connected to a forced air system for our 3 story brownstone. It stopped working yesterday (great timing!), and National Grid came out and condemned the unit – saying the firewall was rotted out and cracked. Their sales team is supposed to call to try to sell us something new. I’m thinking better to go with an HVAC specialist. I’ve spoken to Phil from Phil’s A\/C, and he is coming over soon. Any suggestions for the type of unit we should be thinking about?
\nShould we get several quotes – i.e Hlad, Gateway , National Grid etc.? I don’t want to take too long – it’s cold – on the other hand – I’d like to do it right (Phil said the unit we have is not the best quality.
