(I&#8217;ve tried repairing and weatherproofing, as well as exterior storms, to no great effect.)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m in a landmark district, so I need to install them to Landmark Commission standards. <\/p>\n<p>I got an estimate from Windows We Are for Kolbe wood &#8220;sash replacement kits,&#8221; but I&#8217;m thinking that is not what I want. Don&#8217;t the replacement kits mean that I lose some area of glass, because they are installed on top of the existing frame or something? Should I be looking for a &#8220;brick-to-brick&#8221; installation?
