I was worried they were termites, but after a google search, it doesn&#8217;t seem like it.<\/p>\n<p>I found a bunch of them in my finished basement. They were near the basement door and halfway into the basement. It must have been about 40 of them, which I killed with ant spray. I&#8217;ve never seen so many ants at one time inside the house. Why would they come in? And what can I do to prevent them from re-entering? I&#8217;ve already sprayed the ant killer around the door area, but I feel this is a very temporary solution when the stuff dissipates.
