I’m sure most NYers have seen these types of fences all over the city. (I have no idea what the correct name is for them so I have included a picture). I know they are almost exclusively used for construction sites, but I am thinking about using them as a fence for my backyard. I saw it done at a bar in Williamsburg, and liked the look, and it also would fit in with the industrial feel of my neighborhood. I have a few questions though. First of all is there a proper name for them? I did a bunch of google searches and the best I could come up with was “corrugated metal fence”. Are they legal? Do they posses some inherent downside that I am ignorant of? Does anyone know a local place that I could purchase them (I’m not a contractor). Anyone know the relative cost?
