Unfortunately, they have a non-working chimney that completely ruins the flow of the structure.  I want to remove this chimney but have no idea if that is really difficult\/expensive thing to do.  Also the gas heater vents into the chimney so also have to find another place to vent the heater.  Is this difficult as well?  Appreciate any help guidance you guys can provide.
