The current configuration was in the middle of the room and so a partial wall was dividing the (quite small) room in half. We figured we would need to replace the existing tub with a left side draining tub as well. A plumber suggested we keep the right side draining tub and simply move the faucet and shower water lines to the left side. Is that a common practice? Shouldn&#8217;t the faucet be positioned above the drain? While this solution saves us time and money, I fear it is both a)wrong, plumbing-wise, and b)looks tacky. Any advice? This is for a rental apt. in our two family home, so we want to be sure to keep things up to code as well as visually appropriate.
