I am about to combine 2 small apartments (one 800 sq ft and one 500 sq ft) into one larger unit in a prewar bldg in NYC (Manhattan). It has been suggested that if I am going thru the expense of combining I should upgrade the electric. I will be using some music equipment (home studio), a few computers, 3 window A\/C units, TV, and the typical things you find in a NYC apartment. I just want to be able to use a computer, have the TV on, A\/C running, make toast and perhaps use a hair dryer at the same time without blowing out the joint! Can anyone give me some approximate idea of what that kind of upgrade would be? Any information would be greatly appreciated as I am clueless.
