I have a customer looking for any old radiator, a tall one with the scroll work on it. It should be in good usable condition. By good condition, I mean good threads for all the connections and the vent. Condition of paint does not matter.

Please let me know what you may have.

Steve

  1. Hi,
I may have just what you’re looking for. I just replaced an original cast iron radiator in my apartment (great condition, scroll work, nice detail, not too many coats of paint) for a wall-hung version to make room. I posted it on Craigslist with a pic:

Let me know if you’re interested.

  2. Steve:

GO check out some of the places around Brooklyn like right at the entrance to Lowes where there is a dealer that has tons of old radiators he sells, and I think perhaps a place in Fort Greene called Eddie’s Salvage?

I haven’t been to Eddie’s but have been to the place under the subway bridge right at the entrance to Lowes and he has just a ton of old house items like that.
