Does a Roof Deck Count Toward FAR?
Hello, I’m considering buying a single-family home in Brooklyn that is built to max FAR. I’d like to add a roof deck to the top. Is that something I could do under the zoning considering I have no available FAR? Thanks!

Keep in mind something large will need to be non combustible.
It does not count towards FAR, as it is not considered ‘habitable space’.

Yes, you can do that. Roof deck is not zoning floor area.
