Thank you Brownstoner for all of the reviews. After shopping around, I went with Lopopolo Iron Works and finally got a metal, frame porch with concrete. They dug up the footings, put up the metal frame, mixed and poured their own cement, and installed a wrought iron fence and rail with metal steps. The company was very professional and actually got the job done earlier than promised; which is unheard of! I would highly recommend Lopopolo Ironworks! I feel like I got the best quality at the best price:) Lopopolo also has different designs on their website: www.ironworkdesigns.com

  1. 123graceann – can i please see your deck photos as i got a quote for Lopopolo for a concrete deck job as well? i originally wanted a ipe/iron combo fence, but due to DOB regulations, it wasn’t possible so Joe suggested a concrete deck. i am unsure of how to PM. thanks in advance.

  2. brooklynarchiect is giving you his standard line. And I don’t believe him. Also having an architect create a detailed proposal/drawings would likely cost you more than you could possibly save.

  3. So sorry, but it is very likely that you way overpaid. An hours worth of sending a detailed proposal / drawings to shops in queens, NJ and long island would have likely saved you 50%.
