I like cedar and would do in my rear yard… but,
think wood fences are no longer legal (combustable).
make sure it will not upset your neighbors.

DIG did my fence…cedar, 6′ high with lattice on top. Not the cheapest out there but it’s a really nice fence. Cost was part of a larget project so don’t know the breakout.
