Where to find a stone planter?
Any recommendations on where to buy a large stone planter/urn? We are looking to replace one of the historic ones in front our building. Thanks!

Thanks, Donatella. Another source I should have mentioned is Haddonstone. They have NY distributors and a showroom in Bellmawr, NJ (near Philadelphia) that you can visit if you call in advance. Lots more on their site than just these links, but for starters:

Those are great links, Vinca. Thanks for posting them.
There are so many designs and sizes that it’s hard to know what you’re looking for. Most of the old planters are either cast stone or iron. Even in modern reproduction, these are heavy and expensive. Lowe’s on 9th St. in Park Slope keeps some reproduction cast stone in stock. Others sources include:
Cast Stone, Nichols Bros.: http://bit.ly/esbah9
Terracotta, Seibert-Rice: http://bit.ly/fVwrmV
Frontgate, repro planters: http://bit.ly/fBqcVP
Hicks Nurseries, large, varied selection: http://bit.ly/fqZDwr
