I bought a 100 yr old victorian in Ditmas park area and used Lidmar Electric: 917-939-4956 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              917-939-4956      end_of_the_skype_highlighting. Of all the contractors I used on the house they were my favorites – the most professional, the most fair, the most organized… The workers were excellent and Paul Laidlow, the owner, would come by at least once a day to check the work and discuss options with me. When I had a problem with another contractor, Paul even stepped in and made the other guy make good on his job, and Paul even had one of his own guys help clean up the mess the other contractor left behind – at no charge! And when I asked for additional electric work as the job progressed, they were very fair on the big stuff and did not charge at all for the small stuff. They also patch their own holes so you know they are not going to be more destructive than they need to be. (Otherwise, you will pay for it and then some with the painter.) This was a big selling point for me. Overall I couldn’t be happier with them. Use them!

We used Sal, with LB Electric at 917-627-9903, to redo the electrical on my 2 family brownstone, including installing outdoor lighting. He was by far the most reasonably priced out of all the 5 electricians that I got quotes from. He worked with us when our schedule was delayed, and didn’t charge us for a few changes that we made to our plans. He successfully obtained a permit for us and we have had no problems with the electrical now, a year after it was finished! I would totally go with them! Sal was actually the most pleasant person to work with in our entire home renovation… (He even drove me to a place where I could buy discounted locks…) We had problems with a couple other contractors we used, but Sal came through, amazingly. I think he will do large and small jobs. He is also in Brooklyn, in the Crown Heights/Bed Sty area, so he can show up quickly to give you a quote.
Give Errol a call @ 347 791 2884. He did some work for us in early march and we was totally satisfied with everything. He has even followed up with us a couple times to see if everything is to our satisfaction very rare to find that in people that you already paid. You wont be disappointed if you give him a call. My husband and I recommend Errol highly and you you use him you will see why..

THE BEST: Rob at RJ Electric. I did a gut renovation and Rob and his team did the most fantastic job. Always on time. Fair prices. Very high quality. Ready with advice but not pushy, etc. Would use him again in a heartbeat and have had him back to do smaller things around the house. 917-922-2758.

Try to search a good licensed electrician in your local news papers. You will get lots of electrician info there.
