I’m looking into getting some things framed at Artisan Art on Prospect and Flatbush and wondering if anyone here has had experience with them. They’re not cheap, but the price is right if they’re good at what they do. Any tips? Caveats? Raves?

Curiously, the only Yelp review is someone griping about the lack of art supplies (presumably b/c Yelp has the frame shop mis-categorized as an art supply shop?).

  1. I’ve never used them. I go to Darren at Prints Charming on 4th St just off 5th Ave. He’s very experienced and skilled. Aesthetically, I’d say he does his best work on traditional rather than modern art.

  2. They do great framing work , though can be pricy depending on size . i had 2 portrats and a deploma done there. I was more than pleased with final results. Back in the 80’s they did sell more arts supplys .
