Does anyone have someone they can recommend to fix a leaking skylight?

I have no information on the manufacturer, but the damn thing has sprung a leak. Is it something I can do myself? What does one use?

Thanks

  1. If you haven’t hired someone yet, and you still need someone to address this problem, let me recommend Roofmaster, who advertises here on Brownstoner. During one of the many nor’easters that occurred last fall, a neighbor’s hatch cover flew off his roof and smashed my skylight to bits, resulting in a steady stream of rain coming into my house. Michael Sapirstein of Roofmaster responded to my call and addressed the problem as soon as weather conditions permitted. He covered the skylight and fabricated a new one for me. His service was excellent and prices very fair. Later in the fall, when I thought I saw a bit of leak, he returned promptly to inspect his work and, although he found no leak, did not charge me another penny. Highly recommend him if you need repair or refabrication of a new skylight.

To credit Brownstoner, I have been very happy with three of contractors I have hired through Brownstoner’s forums and listings. About to do a kitchen reno and will certainly use people recommended by fellow readers.

  2. If any glass broken you can replace it.If leaks comes around the skylight than roofing fabricks and flashing cement need to be used.If you can handle thats fine or you can call us to get an estimate. We install and repair skylight.
    Thanks.
