I have been searching through the “Brownstoner” looking for professional assistance before I move ahead with some renovation work in my home. I keep seeing a recommendation for John at AGPE from a Andrea (user name Brukkus). Almost all her post are for John at AGPE, and no other reader seems to be referring to him or AGPE, so I am wondering if this a legitimate recommendation?
I am not inferring that anything is wrong but it seems highly unusual.
Does any reader have a comment concerning John or AGPE &/or has used them?
Depending upon what you are doing you are mostly likely going to need a permit and will need a licensed architect. Make sure any designer is one. The engineers and expediters work with the architect to get the project designed and filed with DOB.
Don’t know who this John or Andrea is but I do know the engineer from AGPE and is actually doing a lot of full demolitions and controlled inspections. e-mail me at brooklynexpediter@gmail.com for their info.
I think the smart move here would be to interview several contractors or designers. I would reach out to BuiltIn studio, Gary 862-432-7362. Just for full disclosure, he is a designer with a large background in architecture. I recently met him and am working on several projects with him.
