Hi. We are at the tail end of a renovation in Carroll Gardens. To lower the costs, we purchased a previously used set of kitchen cabinets from Build It Green. We are very happy with this purchase. We must have saved at least $10k because we paid only $5k for oversized cabinets, shelving, island and Carrera marble tops- a great deal. The cabinets are very high quality however they do have some wear. In addition, we would like to replace one of the cabinet doors because it was apparently scratched in transit. We don’t know who manufactured the cabinets. Does anyone know who would be able to recreate the door? It is a custom modern slab door. Thanks….

  1. Vinnie … I second the motion on Steve Cymbalsky.

Steve built vanities for the porcelain wall-mounted sinks in two of my bathrooms. He did an excellent job and they look like they were original to the bathroom renovations done over a year ago before I purchased the house. And looking like they always were there was exactly what I wanted.

He’s a friendly and honest man. You won’t be disappointed.

  2. Hi Vinnie,

I worked with Steve Cymbalsky (whose business is The Tinker’s Wagon). I found him through recommendations on Brownstoner and he’s great. He both custom built pieces for me for my kitchen (a counter top and cabinet) and did a full installation of cabinets I got at Build It Green. I can’t recommend him highly enough and he’s very reasonably priced. You can reach him at 347.813.9635 or stevecybalsky@yahoo.com.

    All the best. Shana
